The Mikasa VS170W children's ball has been specially developed to bring fun and joy to children from 4 years of age. The "Kids" volleyball was awarded the category "FIVB inspected" by the International Volleyball Association (FIVB) for this purpose. The key factors are the very soft surface (EVA) and its low weight (180g). The ball flies slower, and the fear of sore and red forearms, typically in the lower acceptance (excavator, ball defence), is completely removed. This makes learning success in children much faster and is ideal for beginners.

The VS170W stands out thanks to the surface material. EVA stands for ethylene vinyl acetate blend polymer, a very soft but extremely durable foam specially developed for the production of balls. In construction and design, the VS170W children's ball appears similar to the V200W, the official game ball of the FIVB.

The Mikasa VS170W volleyball children's ball is an FIVB excellent ultra-light children's ball with an 18-panel, laminated construction and a perfectly balanced aerodynamic panel design for improved visibility. It features improved adhesive technology and a very soft foam surface (EVA), making it ideal for first contact with the ball for children aged 4 and over. The upper material is an ethylene vinyl acetate blended polymer, and the ball has a size 5 with a circumference of 65-67cm and a weight of 170-180g. The color is yellow/pink.
